Cranium Under the Geranium

There’s a cranium under the picture of the geranium.
Cranium in a daze
a haze.
In and out of sleep – deep, deep
it does not want to rise, or open it’s eyes
to do so is to invite the nausea that will not leave,
will not leave.
Peace in sleep
it will keep, the nausea at bay
will it ever go away?
Hopefully today, today, today…
but in the meantime,
I’ll spend my time with my cranium
